Overlimit fee charged unnecessarily

I swipe my card in Indonesia, and immediately Discovery Card SMS's me about the transaction, but when they themselves charge their annual card fee to my account, they don't inform me. And if THEIR charges take me over my card limit, they slap me with an overlimit fee ON THE VERY SAME DAY. Every year I dutifully phone them and get the overlimit fee reversed, but what about unsuspecting customers? Their call centre consultant proudly informs me that there are more than 40 000 Discovery Card customers. Multiply that by an overlimit fee of R220, and that makes an extra R8.8 million added to their bottom line, looted from their unsuspecting customers.. I'm sorry, but it's not good enough to say I should remember in which month they charge their fees. I have many accounts to keep track of. A SMS reminder is the least they can do. Worst of all is, I pay them R520 per annum, excluding interest, for the privilege of being thus.
