On the 04 March I applied online for short term loan with Wonga for R1212 and the total repayment due was R1521.93. I received the money in my account within two hours of the application. A day later I changed my mind as I no longer needed this money and therefore requested through their site for the debit order of the same amount to go off in repayment of the loan. I received a confirmation e-mail that the amount will be debited from my account on the 06th of March 2013, and it did. I was then left with R235 in interest charges and admin fee that they charge process for processing the application.

To my great shock on the 04 of April, a total amount of R1521.93 went off my account instead of the amount they were supposed to take. I called the company and the phone was never picked up and I finally hung up after waiting for over 30 minutes. I then sent an e-mail asking them to return my money and never got a response. Last night I got a call from their collections department following on a R65 they say was short paid. How ridiculous is that?! When I told her the story, she said she will get back to me but still nothing. I want my money back now!!!
