In December I applied for a small loan on behalf of one of my workers, who was going to pay me back in January 2013. I struggled that day to get the loan processed. The option buttons would not work correctly and the website was "hanging". Eventually, after leaving the application a few times and returning, the loan was processed. I chose to pay back the in 30 days. So that same afternoon (Saturday) the money was paid into my account. The VERY NEXT DAY that same amount was debited by Wonga together with there fees. Obviously I was upset. Who will be so stupid to borrow money AND pay nearly R400 fees for an afternoon!! That Monday I phoned Wonga and the lady I spoke to, promised to pay the loan amount back to me immediately I asked her about the fees/interest which they also took. She "spoke" to her "manager" who PROMISED not to add the fees when the debit the amount in January 2013. Sadly, that never happened, I keep reversing the debit and writing then e-mails, but they just ignore me. The amount is also somewhat higher than it is supposed to be, I refuse to pay anything, until l they solve this problem. Any fees my bank is charging for the reversals, is for Wonga's account.
