I will never again use the western union service with ABSA. The attitude of the staff that must provide this service to clients is not good. They used to have a specific teller that only works with Western Union clients but this was suddenly changed when I visited the branch. When I asked what the issue I was told i had to stand in the normal queue as some clients were not happy with Western Union being helped sooner. On average the Western union transaction takes longer to process as the bank has more controls to go through. I was subjected to embarrassment by unhelpful management at this branch. When I asked if they would assist me quicker, I was told no. I would venture to say the management at this branch is incompetent. i left my cell number to file a complaint up to today nobody has contacted me. I was forced to use ABSA for the Western Union service but this experience has left a lot be desired. I have now decided to use the moneygram service with FNB and close my account with ABSA. Please do not send me some mail generated by the system as this would just be inadequate.
