A couple of years ago I had an RCS card and unfortunately i was retrenched and my account was handed over. However I paid the amount in full and the account was closed. Today I tried applying for the VIP Credit Card through RCS however it was immediatley declined because of this prior card in 2007-2008. I was put through to two different agents who knew nothing and kept putting me on hold. Eventually i asked to speak to a team leader who was Lorenza. The agent kept asking me to provide a letter of payment and then he will be able to open an account and only after 2 years can i get another account. When i spoke to Lorenza she said it does show up on the her system that it is paid and I don't need to send the letter as I will never be able to open an RCS account again because of the previous default. I mean we all go through difficult times and I did pay my account in full and it is off my Credit History and it shows on your system as paid up. Lorenza said she will see if she can have this fixed but cannot open an account for me. I mean I hold 4 other cards with the foshini group. Hope this can be sorted out. It does not mean i will not pay my account.
