UNFAIR LISTING WITH OTHER BANKS

Hello Peter,

I had a car finance with West Bank and the car was repossessed in August 2006, however the car was sold on auction and West Bank recovered their losses and even paid me R10, 000.00 back from the proceeds of sale. My name was listed with ITC as a defaulter but removed after two years. I received the paid up letter from West Bank in 2006 stating that my account is paid in full.

I've been trying to finance a car the beginning the January 2013 and I was declined by the other banks stating that West Bank has listed with other banks as a bad payer.

I feel this is unfair as the account was settled and I think I've suffered enough by being listed for two years. My request to West Bank is to clear my name with other banks in order for me to access car finance.
