On the 30th March 2013 I drew money from a auto-teller in Brooklyn Centre (opposite M&B). I drew R2, 000-00 out of my account. The machine gave me my card back and the sms come through on my cellphone that I have drawn R2, 000-00 out of my account. Then the machine just shows that it is busy processing my request.
After 10 minutes of no response I phoned my husband who happened to be in the centre. He stood at the machine while I ran to the bank.

The staff in the bank advised me that the Thursday before Easter weekend there was at least 30 people who complained about the same thing and the same auto teller.!!!??? WHAT!! why don't you close the machine if there is a problem with it??? The lady that helped me (Vishanka) said that the money would be reversed into my account after 7 the same night. But when I phoned the call centre they said it will take 15 working days??!!!

NOW!!! my question is why the do I have to wait for 15 working days to get my money back???!!!
What if I was a single mother who needed the money!!!
Come on Standard Bank! get your Act together...
