Money taken from my account, ATM did not have funds

On Saturday 05.10.2013 at 14.24 I went to draw money at the Standard Bank ATM in DeDeur (ATM nr 3686). I drew money from the ATM and the ATM did not have sufficient funds but took the money off my account. I then called the call centre and advised that I bank with Capitec, they advised me that the money will be deposited into my account within 3 to 24 hrs. I explained that I need them to reverse the transaction as I needed the money. She then advised that she will reset the machine (I ran out of airtime at this point and they did not even have the decency to call me back). I called in on Monday and spoke to Angie Thomas and she advised that I must go into my branch and dispute the transaction. I explained that I can not get time off work to do this and need the money as I must put petrol into my car etc. She simply said sorry we cant help and I will investigate the call where you were told we will refund the money and give you feedback - still waiting for feedback... Surely Standard Bank has to cash up their machines and they will see that their machine short paid money?? I'm am so disgusted with all the inconvenience when its their fault and their "not my problem" attitude
