Absa will lose customers this way

I am very upset with this bank. They started debiting my account in a very irregular way. When I went to the website to find contact details, the General Enquiries number was not working. I decided to use the Head office number. I asked the lady to put me through to general enquiries, and to no avail I was given a new number to contact, which was totally different to the one on the website because the one on the site apparently was not working-why have it on the site then. I call this number and get through to a friendly lady who just could not explain to my satisfaction-why deposits made to my account are being split between the "Balance" and the "Available" amount whereas no new purchases were made. My understanding was that the available amount is what is what I have access to and Balance reflects my expenditure. So my question still stands-why would deposits keep being split between "Balance" and "Availabale", how can a deposit be made and no difference reflect in my Available balance?? Please shed light if my confusion is caused by my lack of understanding of financial terms and processes. This is just one of the many irritating things i've tolerated at Absa-VERY UNHAPPY CUSTOMER
