Took out a policy (Health Plan Protector) with a monthly premium of R278 sometime in February so they deducted premiums for March & April. Sent an email a few days ago instructing them to cancel this policy and asked when can I expect my refund.
Someone comes back to me and tells me "Please note Discovery Life policies do not have a surrender value. Our policies are based on risk, which means that it has no cash value. Please note that there is no refund due."
Which I find crazy since the documentation I received re: this policy states ""In the event of cancellation, premiums less any claims or risk charges will be refunded to you. The refund will be limited by the cost of any risk cover you enjoyed while the policy was in force and any claims submitted"
Just refund my money. I have no interest in engaging in numerous conversations and back to back emails, REFUND ME my R 556 as soon as possible or I will be taking this further.
