We have recently (through lots of trouble) been able to get a home building loan.
We are also quite far in the building process and have received the first progress payment without any problems. The second progress payment though was not calculated by Standard Bank correctly, causing them giving us half of what the valuator approved and what we need to continue our project.
We have had Standard Bank agree that they made a mistake, but now to get the additional funds has taken now more than two weeks, which causes our building project to be under jeopardy, because we cannot pay our contractors or builder their required money.
The point is, that thet cannot make a simple calculation, and after they've been informed of their mistake, it takes them now forever to rectify.
We still do not have our money.
