I misplaced my handbag containing my I.D, Cellphone and purse with bank cards. I went to the police station to report this and received a certified affidavit and certified copy of my I.D to take to the bank in order to get my cards blocked. HOWEVER, I got to the teller and when i asked for assistance she mentioned that she could not assist me with a "COPY" of my I.D, she requires the ORIGINAL. Please explain to me why I would have the original I.D document if my handbag was misplaced with EVERYTHING in it!? I honestly feel that some of these Standard Bank branches are employing silly. idiotic monkeys ESPECIALLY in Hartswater, Northern Cape. Need I remind you that by going to a Standard Bank branch, I AM ONE OF YOUR DAILY CUSTOMERS THAT USE YOUR SERVICES! This makes me think twice about banking with you and I would not advise anyone else to do so.
