On 2 January 2014 my brother and I went to the standard bank branch by the safari centre in Rustenburg to get some documents certified. My brother and I are both students and need documents for university certified. We were helped by a middle aged white lady at customer service. She began certifying the documents and when she was more than half way through she found a document that was from another bank she refused to carry on. My brother told her that he has an account at standard bank but she didn't care. She then asked for all the documents that she already certified and when i gave it to her she shredded them and told us to go to the other bank. I find this mean and spiteful and totally unnecessary especially as my brother is an existing account holder at the bank. I believe that this nasty individual requires assessment and some PR course as people like this are why so many people leave their banks for other banks.
