On 06.01.2013 @ 2am, 3 deductions went out of my account for purchases made on 16.12.2013, which had already gone off my account, due to the sms service I have. According to my knowledge all transactions are deducted immediately from my account. As I was in Saldanha, I went on 07.01.2013 to the bank and was assured that the money will be returned, he even checked my statement while I was sitting in the bank. 2 days later I get an sms saying it wasn't a double deduction, and a very long email which is probably mass send to all capitec customers. Having to go through the statement was even more of a nightmare because nothing is in purchase order. As far as I am concerned, once the money leaves my account its gone and when the bank does its postings, has got absolutely nothing to do with me. Furthermore, sending me such correspondance means nothing, as far as I'm concerned, this matter is still not resolved and I will take in further. In future, do not quote SA legislation to me, I am quite aware of all statutory legislation. I would appreciate it if someone can call me ASAP. Not an SMS or email, very impersonal!!!
