Double debits for the same purchases

Good Day,

FNB, has deducted monies twice for the same purchases on more than 10 occasions and to date the matter has neither been resolved or addressed. I had to take THREE HOURS out of my day to sit in the bank whilst the branch manager tried to explain to me why the deductions had occured twice from my available balance, which she couldnt might I add.

But here is the twist, the sms's stating that a purchase is reserved the money is deducted from the available balance does not reflect on the business bank account statement neither do they correspond. So the only way one can prove a double deduction has occured is if you keep your sms proof. Tallying the deductions however clearly shows double deductions! Yet the staff at FNB cannot explain it neither remedy it.

This is unacceptable and appalling that a Bank who gives the premise of being SA's leading bank is currently deducting twice for purchases with no recourse or explanation. Daylight if you ask me. In all my years of banking this has NEVER EVER happened at other banking institutions and the blase attitude towards this from FNB leaves me sick to my stomach.

Time to close this account and take my business elsewhere
