DISGUSTED WITH NEDBANKS SERVICE

My father (a pensioner of 69 years old) took out a home loan of R45.000 in 1996 at the Perm Bank, which has in years gone by been taken over by Nedbank. After 17 years of paying of the bond, my father decided that he has saved up money to settle the bond as he is not able to work anymore. The end of January 2013 he enquired at Nedbank St George's Mall in Cape town what the settlement amount is -R 17134.73. (which was faxed to him from head office by Mrs Theresa.(This amount would be due the end of February). At the end of February my father paid this amount, and was requested to pay an additional R275.27 for interest accumulated for the month, which he paid. Mrs Theresa indicated that my father will be contacted in a few days by Nedbank lawyers to confirm cancellation fees for (home loan, house insurance and the bond itself). The amount of R2462.80 was requested to receive the transfer papers, which my father paid. A few days later the lawyer Minde Scharpio & Smith phoned indicating my father owes about R2000 for life insurance (which he never had) He has all the proof of what they requested and paid it, now they are trying to scheme a last buck from a loyal customer, no transf.pap
