Good Day
The above homeloan belongs to my father-in-law and he has some time ago this year settled this homeloan account and was in the process of arranging funds to in order to pay for the attorneys to cancel this bond as it has been paid up and collect his title deed. When he went to the FNB's Phoenix branch to now finalise this matter, he was advised that his homeloan account is now in arrears by an amount of R1058.74. When we approached this branch months before, we were advised that his bond is fully paid up and that they are awaiting instructions from my father-in-law in order to cancel this bond. We were also advised that there were no further outstanding amounts, just that we need to arrange with the insurance company with regards to the current insurance debits that were going off this account, to find out if we were going to continue or cancel. These insurance debits come of the bond account once a year and we had already paid for the current year. So why is my father-in-law homeloan account is arrears???
