I took out a hospital plan with Discovery through Prudent Newton Park, Port Elizabeth. I was ensured that My Contract was correct and that I had NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT!
After about a year and a half, i had my visiting father take a look at The Contract (He has more than 30 years in the industry with Sanlam). It was Completely falls with information that would have made it impossible to claim had I needed to. All that Money wasted!!!
Immediately canceled it and asked for my money back as I payed for something that I did not receive.
It took 3 months for them to stop trying to take money out of my acc. I dealt with a Mr Mornay Long who is the nicest person when you deal with him face to face, but completely ignores you if you do not corner him at work. I must have tried to contact him more than 50 times in the last year via visits to work, phone calls & emails. The few times that i did see him it was always a different story, such as "we will pay back 3months" or "how much do i think is fair" or "full rebate". All just STALLING techniques.
It is about a year later now and I still have not heard from him or his company.
It is plain & simple. Don't let them from U!
