Incorrect Card Delivery

Hi,

I went to the ABSA Benmore Branch to pick up my new cards as I had upgraded my accounts to the "Platinum Professional" package that Absa offers. I spent half an hour in the line to get served by the teller, and after opening my card envelope I had received a Gold credit card. The details of the Platinum Professional package is indicated on the Absa website at this link

My application was processed two weeks ago, and after going to get my cards today I was told that my cheque account card isn't ready and I was presented with the wrong credit card which should be Platinum not Gold. I told the teller that it was the wrong card and she said there's nothing she can do and said if I don't want it then she's going to destroy it. I chose to wait to speak to the consultant who dealt with me with my application, however after 20 minutes she was still busy so I decided to leave. Before I left I told reception to tell the consultant to call me back, and left a written message. Its been three hours and I havent beent contacted.
