I applied for a personal loan and was told that I would be contacted when approved. I was given the branch's telephone number if I had any queries. The loan was declined on the grounds that my salary was paid into my account via internet banking and not EFT! When I queried this with the agent she could not explain why that would be so. I then phoned the branch only to find out it was a call centre and not the actual branch. When I finally got through to someone I was told that internet banking and EFT were not the same. When I asked to be put through to a supervisor to explain this to me I was put on hold and never got through. I phoned repeatedly with the same result. Shocking service!
