I was about to leave to FNB when I was contacted by ABSA and I blasted some noob. Against my better judgement I was talked into staying and being moved onto a Gold Cheque Account, I was told it would be so easy, one trip into the bank to collect my card and its done. Plus I was told my garage card would be cancelled and I would be refunded as I have never used it, that never happened.
So a month later I still have no Cheque card after numerous trips into my branch, so I cannot use the package I am now paying for. So basically I have now paid my usual rip off bank fees plus R109 extra for a package that I cannot use!! yay!!
I thought I was being assisted by customer service that intended to satisfy customers, it seems I was actually talking to sales who only cared about scamming a bit more cash out of me before I left.
I really did try. For the 1st time ever a large corporation took the time to sort out my grievances, I was amazed, I was even going to post a comment on here. Luckily I didn't post a compliment as it was all garbage and no one really gave a toss and now they cant even be bothered calling me back as promised or replying to my mails.
