No feedback on Homeloan Application

We applied for a homeloan on the 28th of February '13 which was declined due to us not being first time homebuyers and not having the deposit. We agian applied with a deposit of more than 10% and was reassured that we would have an answer within 14 days. We are still waiting and it is already the 26th of March '13. Everytime we contact Standard Bank to find out where we stand we get the same answer that our application is still at the Arbitration Department. We were lucky enough to have 4 staff members of Standard Bank Potchefstroom (Mmoni, Noelene, Debbie and Elsebe) who went out of their way to assist us, and we can only thank them. However, even after all that they have done we still don't have any answers. Our contract's expiry date is around the corner and we were informed that there are other parties interested in purchasing the property. PLEASE can anyone come back to us and give us some answers!
