My Nedbank Forex nightmare started a month ago on 27/02/2013. A Norwegian benefactor settled payment on behalf of a Namibian client of mine on that day. Unfortunately, they used the Namibian swift code, however, the proof of payment that I received on 16 March 2013 indicate all my details correctly, including my invoice number. On Monday 18/03/2013 I phoned the Nedbank Customer Care on 0860555111 and was told that the benefactor has to give Nedbank Namibia permission to transfer the money to South Africa and it can only be facilitated by visiting a branch. On the same day I went to the Menlyn Maine branch of Nedbank and was assisted by Mxolisi tel. 0124367500. Helpfully, he phoned Forex on 0860797797 and obtained ref no 1/661920380 and was assured that the payment reflected on the system and that the money will be transfered to my account, payment ref no 107583973.By 20/03/2013 still no payment reflected in my account. I phoned the Forex number to be told the benefactor needs to instruct Nedbank Namibia to transfer the money. Permission emailed from PernilleLangnes.
