8 days to change a stop order amount

On the 25th March I went to the branch to change my stop order amount. The lady told me it would take 7 days. Why? Why can this not be done quicker? Are Nedbank so far behind on the technology front that they cannot load the transaction? The last time I wanted to change the amount by phone, I was told that the amount is above R5000 and that I would need to go into a branch. You can get a credit card over the phone, and buy a car over the phone, but you cannot increase an annual amount (paid to the same account over the last 5 years) on your stop order.

As I requested the transaction 7 days before, I was in time, but NO, the system could not take the transaction. When I asked why, no proper explanation could be given, and no alternative were supplied. Why could this not be overridden?

What happened to "Make things happen" Nedbank? You cannot even make something very small happen in a weeks' time... I have to draw cash, go to a bank and make an additional deposit now. It defeats the whole purpose, doesn't it?
