No communication on loan progress

I recently applied for a personal loan with Old mutual. I explained to them that I need this money to pay for my car repairs. I was told that the loan has been approved and will reflect in my account before end of business on Friday. I explained very well to the lady who was assisting me that the dealer is charging me for keeping my car with him while the job has been done. The lady told me that there is no problem because I will get the money to paid same. Friday passed, I phoned today and was told that the money was not transferred because they couldn't get hold of my employer. I was never told about this on Friday and I had already promised the dealer that I was gonna pay on Friday. I then phoned the head office to find out if I can do something to assist them and was turn down by a very attitude lady. I wanted to assist because my HR is not picking up because she might be on leave or meetings. They told me that I can't assistant they will do it their own way. My question to you is, what is gonna happen if I pay because the due date has already passed and you approve my loan later. I'm sure you don't want me to decline it because of late deliver.
