Repaired Cell phone does not work

On 20 Dec 2012 my insured cell phone fell and the only visible damage at the time was the cracked screen. I took it into MTN Hydepark on Friday, 21 Dec 2013, completed the claim forms & left the cellphone at the store and was told that it would be collected by the insurer, Admin Plus, on Monday, 24 Dec 2012. Admin plus claims they received the claim on 8 Jan 2013 and have been trying to get a hold of me since then. They sent sms (not sure of date, but 2nd week of Jan) to say my forms were incomplete and that I needed to contact Admin plus, they were looking for the IME number - which I could not give, the phone was not with me. I followed up again & was told the same thing - that they still needed that IME number. I provided the documents on 29 Jan 2013 to Admin Plus & was was told the phone would be repaired. After numerous follow ups I was eventually told on 14 Feb 2013 that the excess would be R150, I paid on 22 Feb 2013. I followed up repeatedly & was told on 27 Feb that insurer received my phone & will fix it and return to me in 48hrs. 01 Mar I received email to say I can collect replacement phone for R4800 instead @store I got my old "fixed"phone which can't receive calls.
