We purchased black porcelain tiles from Sterlings in April 2012. We were told that the reason for the tiles being so expensive, was because they were porcelain and the border tiles, supposedly had to be drilled in order to insert the swarovski crystals. After laying the tiles we contacted Hanlie Sterling to complain about the quality of the tiles. All of the tiles had scratch marks on them and the supposed swarovski crystals were falling off the tiles. We questioned why they about the method of inserting the crystals, but ofcourse they couldn't come up with an excuse and offered to come and glue new crystals on, where the crystals had fallen off. They brought their tile supplier with to look at the scratches on the tiles and he just blamed the tiler and offered to supply us with 8 tiles to replace the tiles that were damaged the most, according to him. We then asked Sterlings to send us a tiler that they recommended and whom they assured us would not scratch the tiles. We have since had them back at our home to look at the tiles, which now are fading and making marks that they can't explain. They are not offering to replace the disgusting tiles which we paid R 28 632.93 for.
