I cancelled my card - yet it remains open

I have closed my GAME account and even have a letter confirming it is closed, however i was pleasantly surprised this morning when i phoned that it is still not cancelled but marked as dormant. I emailed them AGAIN about this. I am actually going to the credit regulator if this is not done. I also requested that my RCS card is now closed because of my experience with game and hopefully this will be handelled right
