Getting our hopes up once again

We applied for a homeloan through Standard Bank last week monday and the Meyerton Branch told us that all was in order. Because my husband banks with Standard Bank we thought it to be our best move. On monday we were told that we were declined because we were only able to apply for a homeloan once in a period of six months. Yesterday I received a phone call from Saarah S Ajam and she said she needed our income and expenditure sheet, and she even emailed it to me to complete. about an hour afterwards she phoned again and said that they were unable to assist us as there was a listing on my husbands name where I have proof that it was paid up in December 2012. The bank even has the letter confirming this. Who do we believe??? Meyerton branch, New Homeloans... This is our future and a new home for my family and standard bank just keeps putting us down.
