Outsurance certainly doesn't "bend over backwards"

I was in a seemingly minor car accident near the end of February 2013 on a Wednesday afternoon. A representative from Outsurance called me at the scene of the accident to arrange for my vehicle to be towed away, and insured me that he would SMS me his details later that day so that we could sort out the rest of the details.By the following Monday I had had no contact from Outsurance so I called their call center, which is when I was informed that my car was written off. From there I was advised to get a settlement letter from the bank and email it to my original correspondent, whose details I had only just received. Once I had gotten the letter and emailed it through, yet again no response from Outsurance, and my settlement letter expired. It was after that I found out that my correspondent had gone on leave??? I ended up having to get another 2 settlement letters from the bank before they finally settled my claim, a MONTH later - all of this time I have had no transport! The last I've heard is that their legal team is pursuing the offender's insurance company - that was a week ago, I still haven't gotten my excess back, and they refused to deliver my carkey key ring back to me.
