I was involved in a car accident on 26 July 2013. I am insured with Outsurance. The incident itself was extremely distressing but the service I have received from Outsurance has made this whole experience a nightmare. It took a month to decide the vehicle was not salvageable, and I have been waiting 10 days for the settlement letter so that I am able to purchase another vehicle. I rely on my car to get to work as I work in Philippi which is not a safe area. As such I have had to rely on the goodwill of friends and colleagues in the interim. I have sent numerous emails to the person handling my claim and have had no response to the last few emails, even though I was told the settlement letter was received last Thursday. DO NOT use Outsurance. Once they have you as a client they do not care about after service. I have been harassed by Outsurance to insure a new vehicle should I purchase one, but am unable to actually settle a claim.
