When my tenant left the house at the expiry of his lease the following things were found missing on inspection, the stove, locks from 2 doors, and the build-in wardrobe in one of the bedrooms was dismantled. I opened a case immediately and stated that I suspect the tenant the things when he was moving out as there were no signs of forced entry or buglary, and this is still being investiagted by the police. I also logged a call with my insurance for HOC. I spoke to Candice when logging my claim last week and she advised it can't be paid as there is a clause in the policy which states that if the tenant steals the insurance can't pay. I asked her to forward the policy documentation and gave her my email address and up to today almost 10 days down the line she hasn't come back to me or sent the policy documentation and my claim is not registered or there is no official decline communication sent to me. I am so disgusted as Standardbank is a reputable company and I wouldn't expect them trying to dodge paying a legitimate claim like a fly by night insurance institute. This is bad customer service and in my opinion the brief that has been given to the call centre is to cut down on
