I have been making calls to ABSA to sort out my credit card. I have voluntarily withdrew from debt review in Dec 2012. I have been constantly calling and being told by customer services that im still under debt review. After numerous calls, i finally got a team leader (Lerato Mathunga) on the 12.03.2013 to change my status on the card. This team leader did not change it to a normal status but rather changed it to say Legal. So now i was said to be in the ABSA legal department. I called legal and they made me call Lerato again to change the status to normal so that i can use my card as normal. This time Lerato changes the status to normal but my entire credit limit gets taken away. I was told that this will be rectified by another Team leader in the customer services and will be reinstated. I was promised a call back when it was sorted but never received that call. I called in today 14.03.2013 and was told that my status has been changed now to the collections department and im in 7 months arrears when i have been paying more than the required amount every month. I am now frustrated of being shunted from one department to another. No one has any clue how to sort out and help me.
