FNB - Funds not returned by bank

My dad tried to withdraw funds from his FNB savings acc on 13 Feb 2013 at an Atm in Volksrust. His card got stuck. A gentlemen standing closeby offered to call a bank emloyee when he saw my dad battling. At that time a bank employee passed & he asked her for help. She said she was on lunch & that he should go into the bank. He did that & asked the lady at enquiries to stop his card immediately, upon which she told him that they needed to check the ATM for his card be4 doing so. This took aprox an hour, during which he asked again for them to stop his card. While he was waiting, 3 transactions were done on his account, which came through to his cell. He opened a case at the police and the banks department. They won't return his funds, cause they say that the criminals had his pin. The same gentlemen that offered to call the bank employee, was seen on video removing something from the ATM straight after he left. The police say this is not sufficient evidence, as they could only see a side view. Now he's without his hard earned money - over R6000 - & his job, as the abnormal load I was escorting, was delayed due to this & FNB just pulls up their shoulders!!!
