Thursday the 8th I submitted a touch up policy claim. I had a small chip mark (smaller than 5 cm) to the right of my car and a small scratch (not longer than 15 cm) on the lower part of the bumper. Monday the 11th auto and general informed me they rejected my claim because the amount exceeded R2700 (by automagic). A normal panel beater does not even charge R2700 to spray a full bumper!
Auto and general did not send me to someone else to get a cheaper quote, they just accepted it and they expect me to do the same. I spoke to shannon and his excuse is that it it is very expensve to repair a chip mark an if their is any other mark on the car you guys won't pay to fix the car.
How can i trust you to handle my normal comprehensive insurance if you can't honour you word with a touch up policy?
Your operators might be friendly, but when it comes to paying out you try every trick in the book to avoid paying a claim.
