We have been expericing a very frustrating period with ABSA in order to get our account FICA'd, it started last year Feb 2012 when we were asked to FICA the account. all documents were completed and hand in at Absa Hennenman to verify our FICA as required. we did not hear anything again and therefore assumed that all was in order and the FICA was done. In November my account was blocked when I enquired why I was told we did not hand in the required FICA docs. I explained that we did hand it in with Deon de Villiers at the Henneman branch, Deon replied that he did not know what happened as Head Office did not complete the process by registering the FICA docs as required. with a lot of effert I got all parties to go and sign again in January 2013 and these docs was again send to Deon de Villiers that was suppose to send it to Head Office, by end February when I wanted to pay my accounts we realized that AGAIN the account has been blocked due to FICA. Deon informed me that he did send of all docs to Head Office in February but up to now this has not been resolved. I can not believe that people are so incapable of doing such a supposibly simple task that is causing huge problems for me
