On the 25th January 2013 I emailed them to cancel my policy to terminate 28 February 2013. They phoned me the same day to question my decision. Explained that I had decided to go with Budget Insurance because the premium was much less and that I pay no excess. The new policy would start 1st March 2013.
sent proof of cover to Anderson and MFC on 5th February 2013.
Despite this Anderson still debited my account on 1st March which means I have two comprehensive policies covering the same car simultaneously!!
Kenny phone me to say that they will only terminate my policy 31st March 2013 because the proof of cover was sent to underwriting and not to queries. This is unacceptable because that's where I sent my cancellation to in the first place. They said they will not give back the R539.36 they deducted. I am a pensioner and I cannot afford to lose that money which is a result of their obvious mistake.
