My wife crashed my car into the wall of our house and there is some damage to my vehicle but the damage is minor. My wife has insurance through MiWay.
I called MiWay to ask them if they will pay for the damages and got a response saying that MiWay will cover the cost of repairs if my wife was driving the neighbours car and crashed it (for example) but they won't pay for the damages on my car that only has 3rd party insurance. They say that it is considered one household and my wife would be personally liable for the cost of the repairs to my car.
This philosophy does not make sense. Why would some outsider's vehicle be covered but not my vehicle when my wife was the driver who caused the accident.
