I notified Home Loans dept via e-mail on 2nd Nov 2011 to close my bond account because the bond was paid in full. In 2012 the bond account was still open because of the home insurance. Nobody told me they will keep the account open for insurance payments. In July 2012 the bank account of my ex husband who was responsible for the premiums was closed (without my knowledge). I was not home at that stage and received and sms that the premium did not go thru because of closed account. I instructed them again in August 2012 to cancel the home owners insurance policy because I found cheaper insurance. They did not and every month they still wanted premium for their policy. They still wanted premiums from me for their insurance which I told them to cancel in August 12. Pestered me with up to 8 calls per day. I threatened to go to newspaper with this matter and then in Jan 2013 I received notice homeowners insurance is now cancelled with effect from 31/12/2012. Now the lawyers do not release my title deeds because SB said I still owe them money. I am so sick and tired now of this nonsense and just want my title deeds before I die. Hope someone can help me now!
