Outsurance
Difficulty claiming

On 12 Feb we had a burglary at our house. On 13 Feb I reported it to Outsurance. Among other things my and my wife's laptops were both. I sent them all documentation except proof of purchase for my wife's laptop, because it's 4 yrs old. I.e, we no longer have p.o.p. The assessor physically had the box in which I bought my laptop in his hands today, he has the invoice for it, but they're still not satisfied. Now I have to go through the whole process of getting hold of a report from my isp, stating when we last went onto the internet! Mine won't be difficult, but we need the serial nr of our modems to obtain the reports. While I have my nr, we obviously no longer have the nr for my wife's modem. To crown it all, I phoned Outsurance and asked to speak to a supervisor about this. The 1st guy "put me through" and cut me off. On my next attempt the lady simply refused to put me through, saying I have to discuss it with the assessor. In 3yrs as a client, I haven't missed a payment or claimed once. Now I'm getting this kind of drawn-out, bad service the 1st time I actually need assistance.
