I had an easy loan with FNB and was settled in December 2012, however FNB debited funds from my ABSA account today. I went to the bank to query that transaction and to close the easy plan account I have with them. At FNB Main Street (JHB) I was told to get the statement from my bank as that debit order does not appear on their system and was told to go to easy plan branch to close easy plan account. I went to the easy plan branch in Gandhi square (JHB) with my statement showing that debit order.
They confirmed that the loan was settled however it shows that there is still a balance. The consultant called the call centre and they said that they can only see that amount on Monday, so I should come back on Monday, and when they try to close the account I have asked them to close they told me that they cannot and I should go to the branch where the account was opened because their system does not allow them to close accounts which were opened elsewhere.
I also contacted them via their website for assistance and their response was that I should call them, so that they can assist me. I want them to refund my money back, close the account I have with them and pay the bank fees whic
