I recently reported a complaint re Standard Bank with regards to wanting to charge me a fortune to receive bank statements older than 6 months. I complained as I researched other bank's policy on obtaining bank statements older than 6 months and the costs between Standard Bank and FNB as well as ABSA differed in that FNB and ABSA charged a small nominal fee, less than R200 while Standard Bank wanted to charge R1460.00.
My complaint went to Management and a lady by the name of Raylene Rossouw contacted me who heads up the complaints department. Her attitude was one of trying to resolve the problem and keep me happy as a customer of Standard Bank.
Raylene asked if I was willing to pay a nominal fee and I responded stating that due to the statements being emailed ie no printing costs, no postage costs etc, that I would appreciate any fee to be waivered of which Raylene obliged.
My requested statements where emailed to me timeously and I am once again, a happy customer of Standard Bank.
