No Feedback, No follow Up on Claim

I Had an accident on the 6/12/2012. On the morning of the accident the claim was lodged. The insurance sent a tow truck to tow the vehicle. since the 6th of December i have barely received feedback. If i don't call them to find out the progress i don't know what is the situation. on the 20th of December they appointed an assessor, and ever since i still haven't received feedback. On the 14th January 2013 i phoned the insurance and the person handling my claim said i should speak to the assessor. i did that, and ever since then they claim to have been waiting for documents from the bank to finalize the claim.we phoned the bank on the 11/02/2013 and they say there has been no query whatsoever or request for the documents, it has been more then two months, santam has still been taking my money even though the claim has been lodged more than 2 months ago. i am paying for nothing at the moment. i don't have a vehicle now and i am struggling, it is starting to get very frustrating now. please help me to solve this as soon as possible? i do not know what to do anymore. it is the first time i had to struggle with insurance this much.
I really need to sort this out so that ASAP PLEASE!!!
