I have 2 judgements with Nedbank which I was repaying as per mutual arrangement. They offered me an early settlement discount which I accepted and paid accordingly.
To clear my record with the Credit Bureau my attorney requested, from Nedbank, a consent to rescission of the judgements. They declined the consent but also stated that they will not oppose an application for rescission. Their reason for declining a consent is due to the fact that the settlement was at a discounted amount. What hogwash!!!
I now have to go the long, legal, route to try and obtain a rescission and am bracing for undue additional legal fees.
Nedbank, I really thought that you were a 'green' organisation trying to help people by whatever means. Sadly to say you have succeeded in making my life a misery!!!
