I had a policy with dial direct and my husband cancelled my policy at the beginning of January as I would be commencing cover with my new insurers from the 1 February. On the 23 January again I called to confirm that my policy had to be cancelled. On the 1 February I received an email from them confirming that my policy was cancelled however they still debited my account for the premium as well as a pro rata amount as the previous month's premium was not received, I was aware that I did not have cover and informed them as such the consultant who cancelled my policy did not advise that they would still be debiting my account on 1 February. As a result of the debits I had two unpaids on my account totalling R260 I requested that as I had notified them early enough of my intention to cancel that they should refund me for these unpaids as they had no authority to debit my account and the counsultant who cancelled my policy had not advised that they would be doing this and advising that i would need to place on stop on my account. This service is trully appalling
