I applied for a student loan on 6 January 2014. Received an sms on 11 January reading, "Congratulations, your loan application has been processed successfully. Your documents are being sent to the Alberton branch. Please visit the branch to finalise the application." I visited the branch on 13 January, waited for almost 2 hours to see a consultant, only to be told they do not have the documents, they have been sent to the Vereeniging branch, which they said was not a probelm, they could print the contract in Alberton, but it has not yet been loaded. After numerous phone calls, being kept on hold for hours and being transfered from one incompetent person to another, I finally get hold of the branch number. Low and behold, they are not very helpful. I was told to phone the call center or visit the branch, both of which i have already done. The branch itself says its not on the system, they cant help me... the call center tell me the documents are on their way to the branch, they cant help me either. This is the Fourth year of a 5 year Masters Degree that I'm applying for a student loan and every single year I have the same problems! I will go to another bank!
