I opened an acc at FNB as I heard you were a great service provider. I opened it&after realizing the trouble at I had go through of switching over I procrastinated fetching my card&activating it - in my mind thinking great I have 2 acc open&can switch over when I feel fit. Pay as you swipe?
A couple months later I received a message in the post threatening legal action for a large sum of money billed to me by FNB. I understand that I should of read through the contract&that once I sign bank charges of R100 will be billed - it is my mistake. What I don't understand is when phoning to collect the card I get told it was deactivated and cut up 6 weeks after opening. When was I to know about this? This is very poor communication on your part. If I had received an sms or call letting me know that this was the case I would of been there to collect. I only received an sms to collect and one to say I owe you money!
Nevertheless, I decided to go into the store and re-sign to cross over to FNB despite the poor communication. I received the msg to collect my card on Mon, collected it&have now been told my new card has been cancelled? I have never exp such professionalism in my life!
