Requested a quote from Oakhurst insurance for a car I was looking to purchase. I did give all my details to Oakhurst's consultant, and clearly stated that they should only activate the policy once I have confirmed the purchase of the vehicle.
I was then called by Andile Mashigo as the Portfolio manager for my account. I clearly stated to him that I am not accepting cover and cannot accept anything until I have taken the vehicle which there were still complications with. He stated that he understood and will only activate the policy once I confirmed.
This morning I was debited R105 from Oakhurst!
Can one not adhere to a simple request?
If the payment is not reversed asap, I will be forced to contact the Ombudsman as the vehicle I was interested in buying is still covered by another insurance, and by law, cannot be covered by two insurance at the same time.
