No truth to what is communicated

As advised by Isobel of Quickbond to renegotiate the rate after registration of my bond on 30 November, I found out today that this is simply not possible.

I called the Home Loans department today and was told to go into a branch to negotiate a better rate. I also called my bond attorney today who advised the same. However when I got to the branch in Carlswald Midrand, I was told that Quickbond should have negotiated on my behalf before registration. Negotiation is never done after registration. Fixing the rate will also mean that I will go from now paying 10, 2% to 12.2% on my loan of R1, 230, 000. With my credit health score of 851 (excellent), this is ridiculous that no negotiation is possible.

Now I am stuck with a high rate that I cannot negotiate on which I am highly irritated about and have been advised by your client service to move my account to another institution. Highly disappointed with Nedbank and their inability to assist a client. This seems to be a way to trap new clients.
