Hi my name is Arlene and I have a ABSA loan, my account was debited on the 24th January 2014 for my normal instalment which was R1756.00. On the 25th January 2014 my account was again R3544.00. I have missed one instalment in December 2013 and a call centre agent called me in January 2014 to say I didnt pay the instalment for December2013. I advised her that I am Aware of it and they must double debit my account in February 2014.She said that fine and will make a note, as I am aware that all calls are recorded and left it as that. On the 27th January 2014, I tried calling ABSA and was pushed from one person to the other without any help and then spoken to a person by the name of Adrian who then told me that ABSA had made an error on their side and I must go to the bank and sign some form for me to get my money back. I went to the bank in Johannesburg on the 31st January 2014 and explainted again what had happened and filled the forms that was required. I was promised that within 24 hours the money will be in my account which I have not received as yet. I again got a call from ABSA today the lady say my account is now arrears, which I told her I dont understand. Please help.
